TVS Racing, building on more than four decades of racing excellence, has officially announced the successful completion of its nationwide TVS India One Make Championship (OMC) 2026 Training & Selection Program. The mega talent hunt was conducted across four major cities in India, with the highly anticipated final selection round taking place between May 15 and May 17, 2026, at the famous Madras International Circuit (MIC) in Chennai. More than 120 eager participants turned up to show off their skills on the track, all vying for a spot in this prestigious line-up.
A Breeding Ground for Racing Talent
The TVS India One Make Championship continues to stand tall as one of the country’s leading rider development platforms. It beautifully blends professional racing exposure with highly structured training, all to strengthen India’s grassroots motorsport ecosystem and make competitive racing a lot more accessible to aspiring riders.
The 2026 season is a pretty special one, too. It marks the moment the TVS Apache celebrates 20 years of racing-inspired performance engineering. This milestone is driven directly by TVS Racing’s famous ‘Track to Road’ philosophy, where lessons learned out on the racetrack continue to shape not only production motorcycle development but also how riders are trained and prepared for professional motorsport competition.
During the intense selection program, the 120+ riders competed across a diverse range of categories, including:
- Women
- Media
- Rookie
- Electric
- TVS Apache RR310 Expert
Every single participant had to go through a rigorous, structured training and evaluation process run by seasoned TVS Racing experts. The trainers focused heavily on riding technique, consistency, track awareness, and overall performance—all whilst keeping an uncompromising emphasis on rider safety and strict race discipline.

Democratising the Racetrack
TVS Racing is India’s very first factory racing team. Founded way back in 1982, the team has bagged countless titles across road racing, rallying, and supercross formats, making a massive contribution to the nation’s motorsport culture.
Since the TVS India One Make Championship was first introduced in 1994, it has established one of the most organized rider development ecosystems in the nation. It essentially creates an easy, clear path from beginner’s training right up to professional racing competition. Over the last 30 years, the championship has trained and mentored more than 4,000 racers, making it one of India’s most successful rider development programs.
Vimal Sumbly, Head Business – Premium at TVS Motor Company, shared his thoughts on the program’s success, stating that the TVS India One Make Championship has always focused on creating racers through a structured and professional racing ecosystem. He explained that they identify, train, and develop riders across multiple stages of their journey—from rookies and young talent to experienced racers competing at national and international levels. He noted that the 2026 program reflects their continued commitment to making motorsport more accessible, helping to build the next generation of Indian racers whilst democratising the sport and fostering a strong, inclusive racing culture.
Building a Stronger Racing Culture
On top of discovering fresh faces, the initiative continues to focus on identifying emerging racing talent from all sorts of different regions. By encouraging wider participation from women and new-age riders, TVS Racing is actively strengthening India’s grassroots motorsport ecosystem through professional mentorship.
The platform also plays a massive role in building deeper engagement with the wider performance riding community. It helps foster a much stronger racing culture in the country, which naturally strengthens brand affinity among performance enthusiasts.
With multiple consecutive manufacturer and team championship victories under their belt at the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC), TVS Racing is clearly holding onto its leadership crown. Thanks to the success of the TVS India OMC 2026 selection trial, the grid for the upcoming season is looking faster and more exciting than ever.
