TVS Motor Company is stepping up road safety in style! As part of their ongoing ‘Protect Little Riders’ campaign, TVS gifted 100 child-sized helmets to students at Delhi Public School, Shimla, to drive home one simple message: safety starts young.

Kids First: Helmets for the Next Generation

The Shimla event saw local dignitaries like Shri Arjit Singh Thakur (IPS), Superintendent of Police for Himachal Pradesh’s State Disaster Response Force, and Shri Anil Walia, joined by TVS Motor execs Vimal Sumbly (Premium Business Head) and R. Babu (VP, R&D). Together, they championed the goal of raising road safety awareness in the community.

TVS wants every little rider to know the value of protective gear and good road sense. Through school outreach like this, they’re hoping to inspire young citizens to look out for themselves and those around them.

Building Awareness, One Child at a Time

Vimal Sumbly summed it up:
“Awareness is always the first step to safety. We want this next generation to grow up valuing protection and responsibility on the road. Progress, to us, is about making a real difference—and that starts with education.”

Shri Arjit Singh Thakur (IPS) agreed:
“Getting kids to understand safety early is critical. Educating them about helmets helps build a culture of responsibility and can prevent accidents. Initiatives like TVS’s make a genuine impact in our communities.”

Part of a Bigger Mission

Launched in 2024, ‘Protect Little Riders’ is all about promoting family helmet habits, especially for young pillion passengers. TVS has backed this up with:

  • Outreach and education in schools and communities.
  • Special projects—like the Road Safety Experience Zone, made with KidZania, where kids learn riding basics in a fun, safe environment.

Why It Matters

India still sees way too many children riding two-wheelers without helmets. TVS’s campaign is changing mindsets, smashing myths, helping parents find the right helmet fit, and making kids’ protection a design priority in its vehicles.

Every free helmet, every safety talk, is another step towards roads that are safer for everyone—especially our youngest riders.

For TVS Motor Company, creating a culture of safety, empathy, and responsibility is the real win. Their helmet drive in Shimla is just one more way they’re helping families build life-long habits for safer journeys ahead.
