Triumph Motorcycles India have announced the move to the under 350 cc category and have updated all its 400 series motorcycles to 349cc ones. These motorcycles will retain the same 400 series names as before with updated lower prices. The reason behind these new, more accessible prices? A clever bit of engineering and tax planning. By launching a new 350cc engine range, Triumph has unlocked the 18% GST bracket (down from the usual 40% for larger 350+ cc engines), and they are passing those “paisa” benefits directly to the customers. They have combined this announcement with the launch of the Triumph Tracker 400 in India as well.
The New Price List: Premium Riding from ₹1.95 Lakh
Whether you’re after the sleek lines of a roadster or the rugged charm of a scrambler, the updated price list makes the “Triumph life” a lot easier on the wallet. The price drop has a reduction of almost ₹21,500 on the on-road price on some models.
The new reduced prices are as follows (ex-showroom Delhi):
- Triumph Speed T4 — ₹1,95,000
- Triumph Speed 400 — ₹2,31,890
- Triumph Tracker 400 — ₹2,46,225
- Triumph Scrambler 400 — ₹2,59,241
- Triumph Thruxton 400 — ₹2,65,538
- Triumph Scrambler 400 XC — ₹2,89,534
Despite the price drop, Triumph insists there’s zero compromise on the engineering excellence, refinement, and signature fit and finish that have made the 400 series a massive hit with discerning riders over the last year.

Gearing Up for Aggressive Growth in FY27
Triumph isn’t slowing down. With a network that already spans 230 stores across more than 200 towns nationwide, the brand is eyeing aggressive growth for the 2027 financial year.
Manik Nangia, President of Probiking at Bajaj Auto Ltd., noted that the momentum is incredibly strong. He highlighted that the 18% GST advantage allows for much more competitive pricing while keeping the spirited engine character that defines a Triumph. With one of the most engaged riding communities in the mid-capacity segment, the family is only set to get bigger.
Why the 350cc Shift Matters
The move to 350cc is a tactical masterstroke for the Indian market and how quickly the company has adapted is indeed surprising. It allows Triumph to compete head-on with local giants while offering that premium “Modern Classic” feel. The significant on-road savings mean that for many riders, a brand-new Triumph is now sitting at a price point previously occupied by much less “premium” machinery.
