Bajaj Auto has just dropped some news that’s going to make your wallet very happy. The flagship naked sports bike, the Pulsar NS400Z, has been given a strategic heart transplant, and it’s all about those savings. The big news here is the shift to a 349cc engine. By moving to this specific engine capacity, the Pulsar NS400Z now sits comfortably in the lower 18% GST slab. It’s a clever move by Bajaj to make high-performance biking a lot more accessible without watering down the thrills. As of 30th April 2026, the new Pulsar NS400Z is available at a very tempting ₹1,80,092 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Because of this tax break and a lower ex-showroom price, riders are looking at total savings of up to ₹24,500. This isn’t just a small discount; it’s a meaningful reduction that covers the bike’s upfront cost, insurance premiums, and registration fees.

Performance That Doesn’t Quit

You might be wondering if “smaller engine” means “less fun.” In short: absolutely not. Bajaj has engineered this 349cc liquid-cooled engine to retain its punchy 40.6 PS power output.

With a power-to-weight ratio of 247 PS per ton, the NS400Z stays true to its “definitely daring” DNA. It’s still the aggressive, sharp-handling machine it’s always been—perfect for dodging city traffic or opening it up on a spirited weekend ride.
