With petrol prices continuing to put a serious squeeze on wallets across India, making the switch to electric mobility is starting to look less like a future plan and more like an urgent upgrade. Luckily, Ultraviolette is stepping up to make that transition a whole lot easier—and much more rewarding—with their freshly launched ‘Kill the Petrol Bill’ programme.
If anyone has been eyeing up a move to electric vehicles, the economic perks on offer right now mean there has never been a better time to wave goodbye to the petrol pumps.
How to ‘Kill the Petrol Bill’ and Claim Up to ₹30,000 Cashback
Ultraviolette is essentially turning old petrol kilometres into cold, hard cash. Under this new initiative, anyone upgrading to an Ultraviolette F77 or X-47 electric motorcycle can unlock ownership benefits and cashback worth up to ₹30,000, completely based on their previous riding history and vehicle usage.
The maths behind the programme is incredibly straightforward: Ultraviolette will match the exact number of kilometres a rider has clocked on their old two-wheeler over the last two years and hand it back as a cashback equivalent.
- The Petrol-to-EV Calculation: If a rider has covered 20,000 km in the last two years, they will bag a ₹20,000 cashback on their new ride.
Massive Monthly Savings on Fuel Expenses
The upfront cashback is definitely a massive bonus, but the long-term savings on vehicle ownership costs are where things get really exciting.
Once a rider makes the electric transition to the F77 or X-47, the daily running costs plummet. Ultraviolette highlights that owners will save between ₹3,000 and ₹5,000 per month on fuel expenses alone. That is a serious chunk of money back in the pocket every single month, proving that freedom from recurring fuel expenses doesn’t mean having to compromise on performance, technology, reliability, or the overall riding experience.
Aligning with a National Vision for Electric Mobility
Commenting on the big announcement, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO & Co-founder of Ultraviolette, noted that while the rising cost of petrol has been a massive talking point for ages, there has been very little direct action to help consumers break away from fuel dependency.
“At Ultraviolette, we believe the shift to electric mobility needs to be supported by tangible measures that make EV ownership more accessible and compelling, which is also in line with our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of fast-tracking EV transition,” Subramaniam stated.
He added that this programme is all about giving prospective two-wheeler owners across India the confidence to make the switch, allowing them to benefit from significantly lower running costs, advanced technology, and a superior ownership experience.
A Leading Force in the EV Transition
This latest move only reinforces Ultraviolette’s position as one of India’s leading EV brands. The company has been consistently strengthening its foothold in the market through continuous product innovation, a rapidly expanding retail footprint, growing customer adoption, and steady progress into international markets.
As the entire electric vehicle category matures, Ultraviolette is staying laser-focused on accelerating adoption. By building high-tech electric motorcycles that combine exhilarating performance with unmatched ownership value, they are proving that moving away from petrol is a win for both the wallet and the ride.
